So, You’ve Been Diagnosed... Now What?
FND, Fibromyalgia, ME/CFS, Long COVID—different labels, but all rooted in nervous system dysfunction. Once we understand the physiology, we begin to understand the illness—and more importantly, how recovery might be possible.

People accept a heart condition or a hearing condition. But a nervous system condition? Suddenly, it’s up for debate. If it doesn’t show up on a scan, it must not be real—right?
Wrong.
The nervous system controls everything—your heart rate, digestion, energy production, and pain signals. Even your immune system is regulated by it
When it malfunctions, so does the rest of your body.

Symptoms

Many Labels, One Root Cause
Whether it’s FND, Fibromyalgia, ME/CFS, or Long COVID, many of us receive different diagnoses — but the symptoms we face often overlap. If your symptoms worsen with exertion — whether physical, mental, or emotional — and match those listed above, there’s a good chance they’re being driven by nervous system dysfunction, regardless of the original trigger.
The path to improvement often looks remarkably similar, no matter the diagnosis. Rebalancing and retraining the nervous system is a key part of recovery.
I personally received multiple diagnoses. There were years when my symptoms were so relentless, I truly believed recovery wasn’t possible.
But slowly, things began to shift — not by chance, but because I put in the work. Bit by bit, I started making changes based on what I was learning — changes that helped retrain my dysfunctional nervous system and support healing. It wasn’t easy, but over the last year, I’ve made real progress.
I created this website in the hope that it might offer insight, reassurance, and practical advice to others going through something similar.
After a lot of trial and error, and countless hours spent researching and studying, I started creating blog posts to document what I was learning along the way.
You’ll find those posts below. If you’re struggling and want to connect, feel free to get in touch — I’m always happy to share what’s helped me.
